Peabody currently offers pre-kindergarten to sixth grade, and is scheduled to add seventh and eighth grade classes. The Peabody Education Task Force raises private funds to improve the quality of education and increase the resources available to students. The Task Force has purchased state-of-the-art technology to implement the Enhancing Missouri’s Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies and Waterford Early Reading Programs, and installed a playground in the summer of 2005.

Ray Leisure Park

Ray Leisure Park, which is operated and maintained by the St. Louis City Parks and Recreation Department, provides a wonderful "open space" that has significantly enhanced the beauty of this neighborhood, known for its tree-lined streets. The park provides open space for walking, relaxing and a variety of outdoor sports, as well as a playground and recreation center that includes a gymnasium and an indoor swimming pool. The recreation center (at left in the photo) is also used as a polling place for city, state and national elections.
